Day 19: November 7, 2024

We spent the day driving down the North Atlantic coast, from the windswept town of Essaouira towards the sprawling city of Agadir. Along the way, we stumbled upon camel herders, a relic of a bygone era. These nomadic herdsmen, weathered and worn, moved with a timeless grace, their camels swaying rhythmically in the breeze. It was a glimpse into a simpler time.

Tonight’s bush camp is on a cliff, overlooking the relentless Atlantic crashing below, We made it to Legzira Beach. it’s hard to believe this is real life. I’m wrapped in my new Moroccan blanket as I type this by the glow of fairy lights. It’s a moment of pure, unadulterated bliss.

Sean, Biene, Jon and I spent the evening chasing waves, bodyboarding in the cool Atlantic. A salty, sun-kissed escape after a long day in the hot sun.

Tomorrow, we’re off to Tantan, Morocco, then deeper into the Western Sahara. I can’t wait to see what madness awaits.
